The
Stella Doradus unlicensed 24Ghz band PtP link system
consists of an up/down converter (transverter) and
a standard Mikrotik radio utilising Nstreme format
and up converts/ down converts to/from the licence
free 24Ghz band. Network management is performed through
the Mikrotik interface. All features available in the
Mikrotik management system are available in 24Ghz PtP
system.
Applications
Replaces 2.4Ghz band, 5Ghz band PtP links, where interference
at these frequencies is substantially reducing data
throughput and sensitivity.
Backhaul links for CCTV systems. The 24Ghz unlicensed
band is more secure than the 2.4/5Ghz unlicensed bands,
and largely free of interference
Replaces existing licensed PtP links, costly fibre
links, where there is usually a substantial annual
service/license charge.
